Nagarjuna wordt algemeen beschouwd als de belangrijkste boeddhistische denker na de Boeddha zelf. In zijn hoofdwerk, Basisverzen van het middenpad, herdefinieert hij de boeddhistische notie van leegte. Crainquebille en het onbuigzame recht

In de vergeten klassieker Crainquebille van de Franse schrijver Anatole France (1844-1924) wordt Crainquebille, een zestigjarige groenteventer uit Montmartre, ten onrechte veroordeeld voor de belediging van een agent. Maar juridisch lijkt er niets verkeerd te zijn gegaan. France schreef het verhaal in 1900 om de onbuigzame, autoritaire kant van de Franse rechtsorde aan de kaak te stellen. Het verhaal is nu opnieuw vertaald en uitgegeven, met een nabeschouwing van rechtsfilosoof Wouter Veraart. Wat maakt dit verhaal juist vandaag zo actueel?
