Franka Hummels

Franka Hummels is a Dutch historian and freelance journalist, with a strong focus on Belarus, where she has been visiting for over twenty years. She lived there several times, for example to research for her 2011 book on the generation that were children when the Chernobyl disaster happened — of which most of the nuclear fallout ended up in Belarus. She writes features and prepares radio and TV-items on Belarus, and regularly appears in media herself as an expert on Belarusan topics.
